VERY RARE Winchester, Model 92 SRC TRAPPER, marked 44 WCF, MFG. 1924, SN: 934212, Lever Action Rifle, 14'' Round TRAPPER barrel, Full mag. The original stocks are very good & solid. The forend is the shorter 8'' trapper length. The stocks have a flat finish appearance, having been cleaned, lightly sanded & refinished. There is a 1/4'' contusion fill on the right side edge of the forearm, a corner edge fill at the lower right corner of the wrist & a couple of very small edge fills on the right side wrist against the receiver, all of which match well & are not distracting. The is a 1 1/2'' tight hairline crack at the bottom of the forend tip & a small contusion on at the left wrist against the receiver. There are a few other minor blemishes, giving the wood a very nice overall appearance. The factory metal blue has worn thin, but there remains areas of original blue on the barrel, receiver, mag tube & lever, which is quite rare amongst trappers as most are worn silver or are brown guns. The balance of the metal is a mix of thin brown patina & areas worn to silver. The bore is excellent, bright & clean, with strong rifling. Fitted with standard factory carbine flip-up rear ladder sight & blade on box front sight. The stock carries a steel carbine buttplate. Original saddle ring on left side This Trapper is listed with the ATF by SN as an exempt trapper rifle. This is your opportunity to purchase a very rare 14'' Trapper in above average condition.
