Winchester, Model 70 ''Pre-War'', CAL: marked 270 WCF, MFG. 1940, SN: 30862, 24'' Round barrel. The factory checkered & flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent. The factory wood finish is excellent, with a few minor rubs contusions & light scratches. The original metal blue finish rates 98% on barrel, receiver & floorplate, while the trigger guard shows additional wear. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a multi adjusting Lyman receiver sight & the correct factory two screw filled scope mounting holes only on the front block. Barrel is fitted with a two leaf folding rear sight & ramped front sight. Stock carries the factory metal checkered & widow's peak buttplate. Sling swivels. Matching SN found on bolt, An all original, high condition & collectible Pre-war rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2000
