Remington Model 725, CAL: 30-06 Sprg, MFG: 1958-61, SN: 714366, Bolt Action Rifle, 22'' barrel. A later variant of the earlier model 721 & 722 rifles. It was short lived, with only 16,635 rifles produced. The original checkered & capped pistol grip Monte Carlo wood stock is excellent, having been lightly sanded & re-stained. The checkering remains very good & there are a few minor handling marks, scratches & contusions which remain. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall, with most of the wear on the floorplate & trigger guard. The top of the receiver has four screw filled holes for possible scope mounting, while the barrel carries two screw filled holes from rear sight removal & the front ramp is missing the sight blade. Buttstock carries a Remington checkered metal buttplate. Sling swivels. A overall excellent looking & fairly rare bolt action rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
