RARE FN (Fabrique Nationale), Modele 1900, .35 Rem Cal., MFG. 1926, SN: 4267, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel, Made in Belgium & one of only 4,913 Modele 1900's produced. The rifle has the original English walnut round knob pistol grip stock & schnabel tip forend. The hand cut factory checkering is 20 lines-per-inch, with the late 3rd style forearm checkering pattern. The stocks condition is excellent, likely having been cleaned & reoiled. There are very few light handling marks or scuffs to the wood & finish. The checkering is very good, with some smoothing found mostly on the forend. The original metal blue finish is approximately 80% overall, with blue thinning at the edges & carry points & some minor scratches. The left side of the receiver carries the factory roll stamp & proof markings. Bore is very good. The solid barrel rib runs the length of the jacket & is fitted with the original two position flip box rear sight & front blade sight dovetailed into the barrel rib. The back of the receiver has two open holes where it appears a Redfield tang/receiver sight may have once been mounted. Stock has been cut to fit a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad. Replaced sling loops. Tight action & functions as it should. A very nice late production example of this rare & highly collectible rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 3500
