Remington, Model 8C (Deluxe), marked .32 Rem Cal., MFG: 1909, SN: 16907, Semi-auto take-down rifle, 22'' barrel, The original deluxe checkered & round knob pistol grip wood stocks are excellent & solid. The inside of the forend is stamped with a 3 for grade ''3'' or ''C'' grade, & they display hand checkering cut at 20 lines per inch. Being an earlier production rifle & a C grade, the stock carries the cheeks at the wrist. There are minor scrapes, scratches & contusions to the original finish. There are two thin & tight grain or stress cracks emanating from the upper tang & running rearward. The original metal blue finish is toning to a thin brown patina, with mostly full coverage. Some area have worn gray, while other areas retain darker blue finish. The receiver has an open factory hole from previous tang sight, while the barrel carries an adjustable rear & standard front sight. Bore is very good, clean & bright. Stock carries the Remington plastic buttplate. 5 rd fixed magazine. Tight action. A rare & very nice original ''C'' grade deluxe rifle, which is very collectible.
