Remington, Model 81, 35 REM CAL, MFG. 1949, SN: 49199, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, having been very nicely refinished some time ago. There are several minor or small scrapes, scratches & contusions, along with some finish wear, mostly found on the forend. There is a 2'' crack on the belly of the forend, a 1/2'' at the heal & a 1'' sliver crack at the lower left wrist corner of the stock. The original metal blue finish rates 95% overall. The barrel carries standard rear & front sights. Bore is excellent. Stock carries the Remington checkered metal buttplate. 4 rd fixed magazine. Sling loops in wood. An excellent presenting standard 81 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
