Browning, Model BAR, .30-06 Cal., MFG. 1967, SN: 4479M7, Belgium, Semi Auto Rifle, 22'' Round barrel, ''Patent Pending'' stamped on barrel, as it is an early 2nd year of production example. The factory checkered & flat knob pistol grip walnut stocks are very good, but the factory high gloss finish is worn & thinned to about 50% remaining. There are several small scuffs, scratches & contusions. The checkering remains very good. The original high polish metal blue finish retained at 90% on the barrel, with a handful of small warn spots top of mid barrel. The blue rates 80% on receiver, with areas of loss found primarily on the forward belly of the receiver. Bore is excellent, The top of the receiver is factory drilled & tapped & carries scope mount blocks. The barrel carries a folding leaf rear sight & standard ramped blade front sight. Hinged floorplate, with detachable box mag. The stock carries a Browning plastic buttplate & sling stud provisions. Comes in a period correct ''Browning Gold'' zipper case.
