Winchester, Model 1890 2nd variation, .22 SHORT Cal., MFG. 1898 (Antique), SN: 61866, Pump Action Rifle, 24 1/2'' Octagonal barrel. Single Caliber rifle. The original straight grip wood stocks are good, with numerous minor to small scrapes, scratches & contusions to the original finish, which is wearing thin on the forearm & wrist. The are several 1'' to 2'' cracks at the toe. The rifle appears to originally have had a nickeled receiver, as there is remnants in the most protected areas. The rest of the nickel finish has long since worn away & is replaced with a chocolate brown patina, which matches the finish of the barrel & mag. The barrel carries the original factory sights. The bore is fair, with some roughness amongst worn rifling. Crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. A worn, but original SHORT only caliber 1890. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
