Winchester, Model 1890 2nd variation, .22 SHORT Cal., MFG. 1899, SN: 64768, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagonal barrel. Single Caliber rifle. The straight grip wood stock appears to be a model 06 replacement. It has a metal rod repair at the wrist. There are three stress cracks emanating from the upper & lower tangs. Despite the repair & cracks, the stock remains solid. There are numerous small scrapes, scratches & contusions. The metal finish has worn away & is replaced with a chocolate brown patina. There are numerous nicks & abrasions to the metal surfaces. The barrel carries the original factory sights. The bore is fair, with lots of roughness amongst worn rifling. Plastic Winchester buttplate. The action does not fully close when cocked & the firing pin appears missing. There may be other internal parts missing. This rifle is being sold ''AS-IS'' with no returns. A well worn, but still a SHORT only caliber 1890. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
