Marlin, Model 38, .22 S. L. & LR. Cal., MFG: 1921-30, SN: A822, Pump Rifle, 24'' Tapered octagon barrel, 2/3rd Tubular mag. Take-down. The original smooth pistol grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The is a 1 1/2'' long toe break glue repair to the stock & part of the stock has been lightly sanded & refinished long ago, probably at the time of the toe repair. The wood displays minor contusions & light scratches, with the overall appearance being very good. The Trademark bullseye insert is in the belly of the stock. The factory metal blue finish is retained at 90% on the barrel, 70% on the receiver & mag tube. Barrel is mounted with an adjustable rear & blade front sights. The rifle barrel has been re-lined. Bore is very good. The The stock carries a checkered Marlin logo buttplate. Rifle action function smooth & properly. A nice looking example. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
