Mossberg, Model 142-A, CAL: 22 S,LR, MFG: 1949-57, SN: NONE, Bolt Action Carbine Length Rifle, 18 1/4'' barrel. The original round knob Monte Carlo stock style is excellent, This model has a unique fold-down foregrip, with this particular rifle having the very early wood version, as the later versions switched to plastic. The stock displays scrapes & contusions to the original finish. The metal blue finish rates 85% overall, with some additional wear on the floorplate. Bore is excellent. The receiver holds the original Mossberg No. M4d 4 Power scope, while the back left side of the receiver has two open holes from previous mounting of the receiver sight. The barrel has no open sights as the front sight has been removed. Stock carries a grooved plastic buttplate. Sling loops mounted on the left side of stock. Detachable 7 rd mag.
