Winchester, Model 02, CAL: .22 SHORT, LONG & EXTRA LONG, MFG: 1914-27, SN: 65915 , Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' Round tapered barrel. Although the model 1902 & later the 02, were produced from 1902 -31, the stamping for ''extra Long'' was added in 1914 & removed in 1927. The original wood stock is excellent, with very few minor handling marks. The left side of stock near the buttend has some staining. The number ''65915'' is stamped on the belly of the stock behind the trigger guard. The metal finish has worn to a thin brown patina. Bore is fair, with roughness amongst thinning rifling. The barrel has factory front & sights. The underside of the barrel, just in front of the forend tip, is stamped ''JF46'' & ''Gun Shop Inc Lancaster CA''. There is a British London proof house stamping & ''22'' stamped on the left side of the barrel below the rear sight. Buttstock holds a Winchester plastic buttplate, with engraved screws. ''S'' shaped trigger guard. A very nice looking 02 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
