C.J Hamilton & Sons Model 47, 22 CAL S & L, MFG: 1927-32, SN: NONE, Bolt Action Rifle, 16'' round tapered barrel. The original flat knob pistol grip & flat board style stock is very good, having been sanded & refinished with a dark stain. There remains several small contusions, scrapes & scratches. Original metal blue finish has worn to a mix of retained blue, worn areas of gun metal gray & brown patina. There is a coating of varnish on the barrel which is wearing away or flaking. The steel rolled barrel has 12 grooves at 1 turn to 16''. Bore is fair, with roughness amongst worn rifling. Original blade front & adjustable rear sight. Correctly carries no buttplate.
