L.C. Smith, (Hunter Arms. Co.), Field Grade Hammerless, CAL: 16GA, MFG: 1922/23, SN: 52656, Break Action SxS Shotgun, 28'' barrels. The original checkered & capped pistol grip stocks are very good & solid. The checkering is beginning to wear smooth. There is corrosion on either side of the trigger guard, next to the frame & minor edge chips, alongside contusions, scrapes & dings. Areas of the stocks have darkened from protective oils added over time. The original metal blue finish rates 40% on the barrels. The case-hardened frame has fully worn to metal gray, with shadowing & some case-colors remaining in heavily protected areas. Bores are very good, with visible wear from use. The solid ribs holds a single front bead. Stock has a padded leather butt cover that ties together at the belly. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
