Winchester, Model 12 WS1 (SKEET), CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1948, SN: 1210429, Pump Action Shotgun, Choke: WS-1 as marked, however it currently carries a professionally installed, possibly factory, Cutts by Lyman choke, 2 3/4'' Chamber, 28'' factory milled ventilated barrel, when including the length of the Cutts. This shotgun appears to have been professionally restored, possibly by the factory as the quality is excellent. The original checkered & capped pistol grip deluxe wood stock is excellent. The stock displays fantastic grain, which is rippled on the left side & feather rippled on the right. There is two short grains pops on the right lower end, which have been stabilized & then It appears a thin protective layer of finish was added over the original finish on the stock. There are minor scuff, scrapes & contusions to the wood & finish. The metal blue looks like a factory or at least professional reblue, possibly necessitated by the Cutts installation or simply done at the same time. The blue rates 95% overall. The receiver & barrel are both proof stamped to the left of the rib. Bore is excellent. Single silver front bead on the Cutts. Buttstock carries a checkered Winchester plastic buttplate, with 13 1/2'' LOP. An excellent overall appearance to this Model 12. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
