Remington Model 31-TC, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1931-49, SN: 109572, Pump Action Shotgun, Choke: FULL, 30'' Ventilated, matted rib barrel. The ''TC'' Trap C grade is a the highest custom shop grade shotgun before moving into the engraved versions of the models. When ordering a ''C'' grade, the customer was paying for hand checkered, deluxe grade, European walnut. The meatal parts were also hand polished & fit to give a better fit & finish than one would receive on a standard production shotgun. They are fairly rare & highly sought after amongst collectors. This shotgun has been fully & professionally restored some time ago. The Remington custom shop deluxe, checkered, & capped pistol grip high grade wood stocks are excellent. The wood displays fantastic scalloped grain. The stock has a small thumbnail size repair & inlay at the right side buttend edge. The finish on the stock has been professionally restored some time ago & has now spider webbing or crinkling. Some small blemishes remain under the finish. The forend carries the remains of the original factory finish, with a thin layer over the top, likely done at the same time as forend. Some light crinkling to the finish on the forend, with light use blemishes & rubs under the finish. The professionally restored metal blue finish rates 95% overall, with some very light thinning of some of the markings. Bore is excellent. The ventilated rib holds a small silver mid-rib bead & front silver bead. The buttstock carries a solid red rubber recoil pad. LOP: 14 1/4'' overpad.
