Winchester Model 1911 SL, CAL: 12 GA, MFG: 1911-25, SN: 14358, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Choke: F, 28'' matted barrel, with a matted grip feature on this model, which is used to help cock the shotgun. The original pistol grip laminated birch wood stocks are good & solid. The laminated sections & 3'' stress crack behind the lower tang all appear to be glue stabilized. There are minor scrapes, scratches & contusions to the stock, along with some small edge chipping where the stock meets the receiver. The stock carries the original worn finish, while the forearm appears to carry a nice refinish. The metal blue finish rates 70% on the barrel, while the receiver has worn mostly gun metal gray. There is a DL# & SS# electric pencil etched onto the lower tang. Bore is very good. The barrel is fitted with a blade front sight. The buttstock holds a solid rubber recoil pad. LOP: 14''.
