Browning, Model A5, SWEET SIXTEEN, CAL: 16 GA, MFG: 1956 (Belgium), SN: S71951, Semi-Auto Shotgun, Chamber: 2 3/4'', 27 1/2'' Matted solid rib barrel. The checkered & round knob pistol grip stocks are very nicely, having the remains of the original finish & an added coat of glossy finish. There are minor scratches, contusions & scrapes under the finish. There is a small patch of fill on each side of the toe, likely needed for a small toe repair. The checkering is very good. The original metal blue finish on the barrel rates 85% on barrel, 80% on receiver, with the majority of loss found on the belly of the receiver & the lower tang. Typical decorative hand engraving on receiver. Bore is excellent. The rib holds a single front bead. The buttstock carries the original FN Browning buttplate, LOP: 14 1/8''. Much of the gold wash on trigger is fading. The sweet-sixteen presents very well. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1000
