Tex-Mex Sawed off double barrel, originally made by Christian Schram of Offenbach, Hesse, Germany. Flintlock muzzleloader converted to percussion, .58 Cal (24 Ga), 16 3/4'' barrels. The stock is poor. Has many crack, chips & repairs from a long & hard life in the old west. Has ornamental brass fittings. Raw hide repair on wrist. Faint outline remains of checkering on the forend & wrist. metal has toned to a rust brown patina. The top of the barrel is marked ''CHRISTIAN SCHRAM'', ''OFFENBACH HESSE'' in German script. the marked is heavily worn/faded & is barely legible. Bottom of trigger guard is marked with a crossed cannons & arrow logo. The hammers, lockplate, lower & upper tangs have worn ornamental engravings. The bores are poor, both are dark with rust & pitting. No sights. Brass ornamental buttplate, toning dark with patina. Gun has ramrod. A great wall hanger with a lot of history, if only the gun could talk. Muzzleloader/Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 100 to 500
