Springfield Armory, Model: M1 Garand CMP rebuild, Cal: .30-06, MFG: May 1942 (2015 Rebuild), S/N: 661330, Semi-auto rifle, 24'' barrel. The Semi-pistol grip, CMP stock is excellent with little to no wear. The left side of the stock above the trigger is stamped ''CMP'' over American great eagle, in a box. The parkerized metal finish 96% with light wear & scratches. There are spots of cleaned pitting under the finish from when it was rebuilt by the CMP. The rear of the receiver is marked ''U.S. RIFLE'', ''CAL. .30 M1'', ''SPRINGFIELD'', ''ARMORY'', & the S/N. the right side of the barrel, under the OP rod is marked ''CBI 6535448 1-10 07/15 5C''. The bore is excellent. Bright & mirror like with little to no wear. Four groove rifling. The CMP card that comes with the rifle gives this a muzzle & throat wear rating of 0. the barrel holds a blade front sight with protective ears. The rear of receiver holds a fully adjustable aperture rear sight. The stock carries a checkered, parkerized steel, trapdoor buttplate, has grease bottle & M3 tool inside. Rifle has both sling swivels & third stacking swivel. Rifle comes with a M1 bayonet with sheath. Blade marked AFH, sheath is had etched ''RICHARD FRANK HERON'', ''SEPT. 1945''. This rifle is accompanied by the original CMP case. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2400
