RARE!! Tula, Model: SKS-45 in un-refurbed Condition, Cal: 7.62x39mm, MFG: 1951, S/N: PH2458 (RN2458 in Cyrillic), (CCCP77523 importer S/N), Semi-auto rifle, 20 3/8'' barrel. The original Semi-pistol grip arctic birch stock is excellent with only a few minor scuffs & superficial scratches. The left cheek of the stock is stamped with a Tula arrow in star cartouche over the acceptance year ''1951'', over the S/N. the right cheek is marked with two a faded circle cartouche. the left side of the stock around the recoil lug, is marked with four faint diamond proofs. The right side of the stock around the recoil lug, is three more diamond proofs. The top/bottom of the wrist, & the belly of the stock are stamped with more small cartouches. The blued metal finish rates 97% overall with little visible wear. The left side of the receiver is marked with a ''3'' in diamond proof, & the S/N. the left side of the receiver is marked with import markings, the importer S/N, & a faded diamond proof. The left & right side of the barrel is marked with many small circle proofs. The left side of the rear sight block is marked two small proofs. The bottom of the gas tube has the Russian S/N electro penciled onto it, Russia could not stamp the S/N on curved surfaces or thin metal, so some serial numbered parts were electro penciled from the factory. Electro penciled S/N's on the trigger guard or magazine would indicate a refurb/ forced matched part. The bayonet screw only has two stake marks indicating it has not been taken off & re-staked a arsenal, & has been on since it was made. Left side of the bayonet at the base of the blade, are two thin proofs. All parts are S/N matching. The bore is excellent. Bright & mirror like with little to no visible wear. The barrel holds a post front sight with protective globe, & a tangent U-notch rear sight with a battle setting & matched 1 to 10. the stock carries a blued steel trapdoor buttplate with a cleaning kit inside. Rifle comes with a period correct canvas sling. FFL or C&R Req.



NOTES: this is a RARE un-refurbished SKS-45 very seldom seen. The vast majority of the Russian SKS's went through a refurb process at some point, having replaced parts, stocks, & having a black paint finish added over blued & non blued parts. Collectors estimate roughly 95% of the SKS-45s imported had been refurbished at some point. This rifle bares no refurb marks, no replaced parts, stock has its original shellac finish, all finished parts are blued, with the bolt & bayonet being left in the while. Everything points to this rifle being of the very few which did not get refurbished & is in excellent condition. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1200 to 2500
