Smith & Wesson, Model Number One, 2nd Issue, CAL; 22 RF SH BP, MFG: 1860-68, SN: 120201, Single Action Tip-Up Revolver, 3 3/16''. The top of the barrel is marked ''SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS''. The butt is marked with the the full SN. The inside of the right grip has a full matching Sn stamped into it. The original two-piece rosewood grips are good & solid. There is a small grain crack in both grips, starting at the bottom, working up next to the screw hole & a small edge chip on the bottom left corner. The original finish has some scrapes, dings & areas of flaking finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel has fully worn to metal gray, with spotting toned to a brown patina. The original nickel finish on the brass frame rates 85-90%, with corners & edges worn to brass. Bore is fair, with roughness & intermittent pitting. Small blade front sight & small notch rear sight. Appx 117,000 produced. An all original, SN matching, excellent example of a Number One, 2nd Issue. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 1700
