UNIQUE SET, European (Spain), Revolver, CAL: 36?, MFG: Pre 1898 (Antique), SN: NVSN, Single Action Revolver, 6'' barrel. The bone grips are good. They have scrapes, dings & an added layer of varnish that's mostly worn dull. The original nickel finish rates 30% on the barrel, with areas worn to metal gray & toned to a brown patina. The frame rates 60%, with areas worn to metal gray & toned to a brown patina. There is light pitting throughout the metal surfaces. Bore is poor, dark & rough. Small blade front sight. The top of the barrel is marked ''HAU-DA EBBEVOLVERIKAN FUERTIENA EUSKARTAN EGITANDANA''. A rough translation is ''This is the strongest revolver I have done'' in the language of Basque, according to Google translate. Mechanical function appears to operate properly. Basque is a language spoken by residents of the Basque Country, a region that straddles the westernmost Pyrenees in adjacent parts of northern Spain & southwestern France. Basque is classified as a language isolate (unrelated to any other known languages) and the only language isolate in Europe. This gun is accompanied by a hand made black leather Native American beaded belt, with beaded bag, circa 1890's, it is 3 1/3'' wide. The pouch is in the image of an hourglass, made of blue, red, pink, black, white & yellow seed beads. The beaded image consists of a white body & floral arrangements, with black vines & blue, red, green & gold flowers made from seed beads. The belt carries a Hercules single loop holster that's been hand tooled with floral patterns & decorative border, an unmarked knife sheath that holds a WEST-CUT Boulder, Colo. blade. The blade has intermittent spotting toned to a brown patina & an antler handle. A unique set that would present wonderfully in an Old West or Native American collection. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
