Smith & Wesson, Regulation Police .38 (Pre-War), CAL: 38 S&W, MFG: 1935, SN: 35196, Double Action Revolver, 4'' barrel. The original checkered wood grips are very good, with an added layer of finish or varnish. There are minor scrapes & dings under the added finish. The original metal blue finish rates 60% overall. There is concentrated holster wear, grip wear & intermittent spotting/specking toned to a brown patina. The case-hardened trigger & hammer have visible, but faded case-colors. Bore is excellent, with normal wear marks towards the cylinder. Integral square notch rear sight & round blade front sight. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 500
