Description

RARE, Remington-UMC, Double Derringer, Early Rem-UMC 1st Variation No, CAL: 41RF, MFG: 1911, SN: 140, Single Action O/U Pistol, 3'' barrels. This example is the rarest of the Remington-U.M.C Co. Ilion, N.Y derringer variations. This example falls into the 1st Variation category being produced in the first part of 1911, before the ''L'' prefix variations began production. The 1st variation examples have no ''L'' prefix, & were numbered 1-3000. The authentic Mother of Pearl grips are excellent. There is nice figure & color. The original metal blue finish rates 98% on the barrel & 90% on the frame. The frame has some light speckling on the right side, toned to a thin brown patina & one small area of flaking on the butt. Bores are excellent. Integral groove rear sight & low profile blade front sight. Comes in an aftermarket wood case, with green interior. An exceptional example of a Rem-UMC 1st Double Derringer. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3000 to 5000
