PARTS GUN, C. Sharps, Model: M1859 Military Rifle, converted to cartridge, Cal: 50-70, MFG: 1859-62, S/N: C, 37171, Lever action falling block, 35'' barrel. Rifle is missing some screws in the receiver, forend, & the upper tang is cracked in half. Walnut stock is fair, has large chip in right of wrist, & cracks around the wrist. Wood around buttplate has darkened from oil. The forend wood has no chips & cracks. Left of wrist is marked with the inspector cartouche. The belly of stock marked with a worn square cartouche. The barrel, barrel bands, & buttplate have been buffed clean, bare steel with pitting scars. The receiver & others retain a patina. The bore is poor, has multiple spots of deep pitting. Three groove rifling. Intact sights with elevator. Intact sling swivels. Missing cleaning rod. This gun is missing parts/ has broken parts, being sold AS IS with NO RETURNS ACCEPTED.
