FABULOUS Winchester, Model 1873 SRC, Third variation, .44 Cal., MFG. 1890, SN: 350310B. Lever Action Carbine. 20'' round barrel. Full mag. This rare & exceptional quality SRC once resided in the famed Roebling Museum Collection. Augustino Roebling was famous for his firm's engineering & building the Brooklyn Bridge. The lever carries the museum tag. The original wood stocks are excellent & solid. Wood finish is original, darkening with oil with some minor handling marks, nicks & dings. The factory metal blue on barrel is 85%, with a couple of minor areas of rust pit speckling. The receiver is well above average at a full 80% of the original high luster blue, with patina rising beneath areas of thinning. The mag retains 90% coverage. The case-hardened lever, hammer & trigger display wonderful remains of case-colors. Bore is excellent & bright. Fitted with the correct flip-up & adjustable carbine ladder rear sight & standard front sight. Stock carries a sliding trapdoor metal carbine buttplate. ''.44 CAL.'' marked brass block. The original dust cover carries most of its finish, is tight & slides smoothly. Action is tight & smooth. The stock holds an original 3 piece steel cleaning rod. This is truly a rare, fantastic & high condition investor's quality SRC.* No FFL Req. - Value: 12500 to 20000
