RARE Winchester, Model 1873, DELUXE 3rd Model, .32 WCF Cal., MFG. 1888 Antique, SN: 258260, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag, The 3X deluxe checkered pistol grip wood stock & forend are excellent, solid & original. The toe of the stock sustained a large grain crack that has been professionally repaired & the lower end of the buttstock was professionally cleaned, possibly lightly sanded, & finish restored, leaving an excellent overall appearance. The stocks with very few light handling marks or contusions. The pistol grip carries an ebony inlay. The stock has beautiful feathered grain. The blue metal finish is 60%, toning & thinning to a brown patina. A couple of minor nicks or edge wear on barrel. The case-hardened receiver, hammer & lever retain about 50% coverage of colorful case-colors with the rest toning to haze or speckled brown patina. The crescent metal buttplate is mostly silver, carries the number 4546 on the underside & is slightly askew, Bore is excellent with strong rifling. Has Adj. buckhorn rear sight & bladed front sight. Sliding dust cover is tight & smooth. Excellent eye appeal on a highly collectible, deluxe 1873.* No FFL Req. - Value: 10000 to 20000
