Winchester, Model 1873, Third variation, .38 WCF Cal., MFG. 1888, SN: 275189, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag, The rifle has some interesting & Old West embellishments. On the right side of stock is hand carved with the letters ''BBWWS'' for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show. The left receiver side plate is very nicely acid etched with ''BUFFALO *BILL*''. The original wood stocks are good & solid, with lots of the marks, scuffs & contusions you'd expect from an antique frontier rifle. The metal surfaces carry a heavy dark chocolate brown patina. Bore is good, dark, with visible rifling. Period front & rear sight, Metal crescent trapdoor buttplate. Original dust cover slides smoothly. Tight action. Cool old antique rifle that brings to life Buffalo Bill & Old West History. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 2500
