Wonderful & RARE Winchester, Model 1892 Rifle, marked 25-20 WCF Cal., MFG. 1907, SN: 402437, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. This is a SPECIAL ORDER rifle with a combination of features that make it one of very few or possibly the only one with this exact configuration. The rarity primarily starts with the fully matted top flat octagon barrel, then to the double set triggers & then the sight package consisting of a Lyman tang peep sight, adjustable buckhorn rear sight & Lyman ivory bead 5-1 front sight. The original wood stocks are excellent & solid, with wonderful original finish. Some mild darkening & thinning in points of carry, but otherwise excellent. The original factory bright metal blue is 95% on barrel & mag, 85% on receiver, with loss due to spotty flaking & toning. The case-hardened lever & hammer show great case-coloring. Bore is very good, with light roughness but strong rifling. Factory crescent metal buttplate. This is a beautiful, extremely rare & collectible special order rifle.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 7500 to 10000
