EXCEPTIONALLY RARE Winchester, Model 1894 Rifle, marked .38-55, Cal., MFG. 1896 Antique, SN: 15483, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. This Documented Special Ordered rifle carries several special features including the fact that this is one of only 155 Case-Hardened receiver model 1894 rifles produced. The case-colors extend to the lever, crescent buttplate & forend cap. The rifle also features Double Set Triggers & special sight setup consisting of a Lyman tang flip up peep sight, two leaf flat folding rear sight & an ivory bead folding globe sight. The original walnut stocks are excellent & solid, with wonderful grain or figure. The stocks amazingly retains a majority of their original finish, with only light thinning & minor handling scuffs from light use. The original factory metal blue is 95% on barrel & mag. With beautiful oxide blue on the loading gate & on the top action slide. The case-coloring still displays very nice colors & contrast. Bore is truly excellent. Rifle comes with a Cody Firearm Winchester Records letter confirming the rare features of this rifle. It would be hard to improve upon this rifle. This is your opportunity to purchase a truly fabulous & exceedingly rare, antique Winchester 1894 rifle.* No FFL Req. - Value: 20000 to 30000
