Description

Winchester, Model 1890, CASE COLORED 2nd model, .22 SHORT Cal., MFG. 1894, SN: 31977, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel, early production 2nd model takedown. The original wood stocks are excellent & solid, having sharp edges, no shrinkage or cracks. A very high percentage of original finish remains, with few minor handling marks. The original metal blue finish has nearly fully toned to even & pretty plum-blue/brown on the barrel with strong markings. The mag retains about 85% of the original blue just starting to tone. The case-hardened receiver, hammer & trigger guard display vivid case-colors. The bore is good with roughness or light pitting, but with visible rifling. Mounted with a Lyman tang peep sight, blank filled rear dovetail & a folding front globe sight. Crescent metal buttplate. Collectible condition & very desirable configuration. Antique No FFL Req. - Value: 3000 to 6000
