Description

Ithaca, Model Knickerbocker, Grade 4E Single Barrel Trap Shotgun, 12 GAUGE, MFG. 1939 (only one year), SN: 404291, 32'' matted vent rib barrel with orange front bead & white mid rib bead, Full Choke, 2 3/4'', LOP 14 3/8'' over pad, DAC 1 3/8'', DAH 1 3/8'', 8.56 lbs, The checkered capped pistol grip stocks are is exceptional with nice figure. Excellent original varnish. Beautiful grain & very few handling marks. Stock carries a gold medallion on the lower belly. Engraved receiver with trap shooting scene on one side & Indian with bow at full draw on the other, Original blue on barrels & trigger guard are 97%, with two 2'' areas of discoloration toned plum, for unknown reason. Case-hardened receiver & lever shows display faded, but still visible original case-colors. Single coin silver trigger, with no safety. Excellent bore. Untouched screws, Ithaca vented red buttpad. A wonderfully engraved Ithaca Trap Gun that is very collectible. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
