LC Smith, Wells Fargo & Co. Marked, Field grade, 12 ga., MFG Antique, SN: 83128, Double hammer barrel break action shotgun, 2 3/4'' Chamber, 20'' Twist steel pattern barrels with a solid matted rib & single bead. Barrels are marked ''HUNTER ARMS Co. MAKERS, FULTON N.Y.''. Early American made side by side. The checkered & round pistol grip stocks are very good, solid & original. Most of the original finish has worn away as the checkering has worn smooth & with numerous small handling marks & contusions. There is an old metal plate tacked to the right side of stock on which is written ''W.F. & Co.----'', not all is still legible. The bottom of the boxlock is stamped with the number ''864''. The metal surfaces have worn mostly silver with a thin layer of brown patina. Barrels carry rust speckling. Bores are very good. Stock carries a black hard rubber buttplate which is a bit proud of the wood at toe & along bottom edges. The action is tight. LOP 13 1/2''. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
