Description

C.J. Hamilton & Sons Model 39, .22 SHORT, MFG: 1922-30, SN: None, Pump Action Rifle, 15 3/4'' barrel. 35'' overall length. This is the only repeating & pump rifle manufactured by Hamilton. Tubular magazine holding 15 cartridges. The original walnut stocks are very good & solid, with original finish wearing thin & flaking from use. It has a small toe chip & a chip on each side of wrist against the receiver, plus other small handling marks. Metal blue finish coverage is 60% on barrel, 40% on receiver, with consistent wear & tiny scratches across the receiver, barrel & mag tube. Steel rolled barrel, with original brass liner. The 12 groove bore with 1 turn in 16'', r.h. twist, is very good, but with smoothing rifling. Barrel fitted with open adjustable rear & standard front sight. Original buttplate is missing. An otherwise nice example of this rare pump Hamilton. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 500
