Caliber stamping on left side of barrel. The blue finish has worn to a smooth pewter-gunmetal gray patina, There is a strong trace of original blue in the flutes of the ejector for housing & root & interior of the trigger guard. The trigger itself actually shows lots of original blue, with some traces hiding atop the knuckle. The cylinder shows remnants of light pitting, perhaps lightly cleaned some time ago. The markings remain clear & legible, The numbers are matching on the frame, trigger guard & back strap. The original hard rubber checkered grips remain in good condition with several small notches carved into both inside edges of grips. Most of the checkering has worn smooth. The action is tight, indexes correctly, while the hammer & rest of components appear to function properly. Bore is very good with roughness. Has Colt factory letter confirming configuration & shipment as part of 15 pistols to Lee, Glass, Andreesen Hardware Company Omaha Nebraska. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 700 to 1500
