Winchester Model 42, CAL: .410 GA, MFG: 1947, SN: 59624, Pump Action Shotgun, Choke: F, 26'' barrel with Simmons ventilated rib. Once owned & utilized by legendary Salem Oregon trick shooter Rich Walsh. Rick was well known in the NW for the talents he displayed during his exhibitions. He was featured in a Statesman Journal newspaper article, by outdoor reporter Henry Miller, discussing his exploits & history. Rick used his incredible skills to promote shotgun shooting sports, especially among youths. A copy of the article is included with the gun. The deluxe, checkered pistol grip wood stocks are excellent with virtually zero defects to the wood or finish. The stocks display fantastic scalloped & rippled grain. The metal blue finish rates 95% overall on the barrel, receiver & mag tube. It appears the barrel was re-bluing after attaching the Simmons ventilated rib. Bore is excellent & bright. The Simmons ventilated rib holds a small mid-rib & front bead. Buttstock carries a factory Winchester buttplate. LOP: 14 1/4''. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
