Description

Oviedo, Model: M1916, Cal: 7x57mm Mauser, MFG: 1916-1930's, S/N: Y7943, Bolt action Rifle, 22 1/2'' barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is excellent as being cut down, sporterized, sanded & re-finished. The original rear sling mount has been plugged. The stock only has a few scratches, dings, & dents. The metal blue finish has mostly worn away with areas of it still present but thinned, & small protected areas with the bluing still present. The left side of the receiver is marked with a cross in a circle stamp, the S/N, and a bomb in a circle stamp. The top of the receiver still has remnants of the receiver band marking pocking through around the scope mount. The top of the barrel has a set of Belgian proof marks & is also marked ''7m/m MR B.BLINDEE''. The bore is good, its bright with strong rifling but has some roughness & pitting. The rifle has no iron sight but has mounted a Jana Fixed 4x32 power, simple cross reticle scope. The stock carries a smooth steel buttplate with some wear & light pitting. Rifle has two aftermarket, bottom mounted sling loops. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
