RARE TWO DIGIT Colt, Model Match Target The Woodsman, First Series Bullseye, Semi-Auto Pistol, .22 LR, MFG: 1938, SN: MT84, 6 1/2'' barrel, The left side of the slide is marked ''COLT'', ''AUTOMATIC / CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE'' & with a Rampant Colt logo. The left side of the frame is marked ''THE WOODSMAN'' & the left barrel flat is marked ''MATCH / TARGET'' with a large bullseye in the center. The top of the barrel is marked ''COLTS PT FA MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. / PAT'D DEC. 22, 1903, AUG 27, 1918, SEPT. 3, 1918''. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with ''4'' & a ''VP'' inside a triangle. The right front of the trigger guard is marked ''99'' & the bottom of the grip frame on the left side is SN marked ''MT84''. Excellent magazine, with floorplate marked '' CAL. 22 COLT''. Fitted with excellent early 1pc extended checkered wood grips with silver coin logo. Original blue finish is 98%, Matted top of barrel. Excellent bore. Factory sights. Fabulous original condition & very collectible with very early SN.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
