BSA (Birmingham Small Arms Co) Lee Enfield, Model Sht-LE MK III conversion CAL: 410 gauge MFG: 1917 with 1931 conversion date, SN: 7655, Bolt Action shotgun, 25 1/4'' round barrel, Marked on receiver with: British proof stamps & serial number. Stamped on right side: British crown - GR BSA Co. -1917 - Sht-LE III ''. Dark walnut stock with lots of scattered dings/dents/cracks throughout, Upper handguards appear to have been replaced. Crown stamps & numbers behind trigger guard, brass stock disk & very worn 2 '' wide white paint strip around buttstock Rear sight is elevation adjustable w/ flip-up elevator numbered 2 to 20. Front sight is flat blade in dovetailed base & protective ears.. Metal surfaces on receiver & bolt are in good condition retaining 65% of the original parkerized finish. Trigger guard, & trigger are painted black, barrel bands, bayonet lug show good Parkerizing. Standard military style brass buttplate in rough condition with trapdoor for cleaning kit (not present) . Non- matching numbers on receiver &, bolt. Bore is in good condition some darkening. Sling swivels on buttstock & middle barrel band, missing front sling swivel. 1931 conversion from 303 British magazine fed rifle to single shot 410 shotgun. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 200 to 400
