Rare and extremely fine ''CASE XX'' WW2 US Air Corps V-44 Survival knife, Knife OAL is 14 1/4 inches. Blade OAL is 9 3/8 inches, Bowie style blade is stamped Case XX near base. It has a black composite grip retained by three aluminum rivets. Has heavy brass hilt with nice mustard patina. Comes with original leather scabbard with hand done markings ''W 7303''. The blade retains most of its original polish. It does have some areas of pinprick pitting. From the collection of Robert Roughton. Overall this example is in very high collector condition. Grade: Excellent ++ - Value: 300 to 800
